About this Work

This is how I feel sometimes: as if my skin, clothes, bones were transparent to all the universe. My heart, and the watery deeps of it, shimmering with darkness and light, raw and naked to the world, to the universe. This intimacy with what is can evoke such a mix of feelings, all whirlpooling through my soul at once: a poignant sadness, a wild ecstasy, a quiet gratitude, a shining joy. And a zillion others.

So I paint a little picture, of translucence. Of salty deeps and a heart open to the whole-everything. What more can I do? Than live my little, huge, insignificant, so-significant life?
